who is lana syreeta?

Lana Syreeta is the owner and operator of Sal Terrae Wax, a premier wax and body spa emphasizing holistic wellness located in Washington, DC.  Lana's path of holistic wellness first began after having been inspired by her mother's work as a hairstylist specializing in trichology (the scientific study of hair and scalp health) years before "healthy hair" became an oft-discussed focal point in haircare. 

At 24, Lana set out on her holistic path, having spent the past 11 years studying how wellness applies to beauty, nutrition, routine, spiritual ritual, and other areas of life. Latin for "salt of the earth" or contemporarily defined as “basic, fundamental goodness,” it was along this path she envisioned the concept for Sal Terrae Wax, a spa experience shifting the waxing paradigm through healing, relaxation, and wellness. "I have built all of my knowledge, wisdom, and understanding into the fabric of Sal Terrae Wax. It is in the DNA of my business." Watching her mother overcome addiction through the healing of others while working in cosmetology, however, was the foremost reason that moved Lana to provide a healing space of her own. "My mother worked hard to overcome her battle with drug addiction and alcoholism and did so partially through becoming a hairstylist. It is in her honor I am building this brand."

Her marathon vision is for Sal Terrae Wax to one day become a globally recognized holistic luxury brand. By offering curative services, not cringe-worthy ones, Lana Syreeta is bridging the gap between waxing and wellness one client at a time.

Lana Syreeta is a licensed esthetician currently living in Washington, DC. She is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and graduate of the Aveda Wellness Institute and the Queen Afua Wellness Institute.
